Conference on Hilbert's 10th Problem

Hilbert

On March 15 and 16, 2007, CMI will hold a conference on Hilbert's 10th problem. The conference will open with a few words by George Csicsery, director and producer of Julia Robinson and Hilbert's Tenth Problem, and Constance Reid, biographer of David Hilbert, Julia Robinson, and other mathematicians. Csicsery will show a short clip of his work in progress. The rest of the program during the day on March 15-16 will be devoted to the mathematical talks. Talks on the morning of March 15 are intended for a general audience.

On the evening of March 15, a 45-minute cut of scenes from Csicsery's film will be shown at the Museum of Science, Boston. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
